30 Days of Thanksgiving – Day 17

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Matthew 28:19

Last night, we were able to go to a commissioning service for some sweet friends going to serve the Lord on the other side of the world. As the parade of flags headed down the aisles of the church and 77 missionaries followed, the tears came. Each missionary shared a short testimony that touched every heart that heard. Although they came from different backgrounds, each had the same passion.

To tell the world about the good news in Jesus Christ.

To share the greatest love story ever told with the world.

To be His Heart

His Hands

His Voice

I am so incredibly thankful for those with a heart from missions. Thankful for our dear friends who will be traveling soon. I am so thankful that He gave both the Man and I the same heart. Thankful that He is preparing us. And in the preparing, we are on a journey and on missions with Him.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.  Acts 1:8

I teared up just reading this. Pretty sure I would have bawled at the service! I’m definitely thankful missionaries!
