Wild Animal Fun!

Lions and tigers and bears…oh, my! Okay…so, there were really no lions nor tigers nor bears. But there were deer and turtles and giraffes and zebras and cows and longhorns. And we had a great time!

Wild animals that have learned to eat out of cups will sometimes fight you for the cup…

And sometimes they win….

Such amazing creatures that God created!

Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind”; and it was so. God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:24-25

These aren”t ostriches or emus. They are South American rhea.

The camels were amazing. I”m not exactly sure how you would ride one of these beasts. I would love to try one day 🙂

These little guys got into argument.  I guess one was getting more food than the other…

This is the view behind the wagon as we traveled around the wildlife center

Middle Sis: the donkeys have crosses on their backs because Jesus rode on them 🙂

I like this guy. He followed us everywhere. Doesn”t it look like he has freckles!?!

It is the time of the year that the deer losses their antlers. This little guy must have just lost his because he was having a difficult time keeping his balance.

My favorite – the giraffes.  They surrounded our wagon. All the kids LOVED it.  And I think the parents did, too 🙂

We had a great time. I think that the dads that went with us even enjoyed themselves. Global Wildlife Center in Folsom, LA – visit it if you are in the area!! If you can”t visit, check our their teacher resources. They have some great information on wildlife and conservation.
