As a public school student, I really did not find science fun. I don’t even remember most of my elementary school classes. Or even my teachers. It was not memorable. However, when I got in high school I had one science teacher who changed all of my ideas about science. Mrs. Ayers – anatomy and physiology! We dissected lots of cool things.
Science should be hands-on. Not just read it in a book and regurgitate the information. So when we started home schooling I decided that science would be hands-on and interactive.
