Sharing our journey; the first!

Preparing to share…..sharing with friends…much different than sharing from a platform on a Sunday morning. We did it! It was scary. Not a horror movie, hiding your face scary – just a dry mouth, fast heart beat kinda scary.

So blessed to be invited to The Warehouse Church in Etowah, TN. Isn’t that a cool name for a church. I think Jesus must love that name! Nothing fancy, a warehouse, filled with people ready to serve, ready to hear our journey. We

headed up Saturday afternoon. As

we drove through town looking for the church, we saw this….20130728_121108

WOW!!! All I could really think was….who are those people who are willing to live in South Africa? Oh wait…that’s us! Overwhelming gratitude to an amazing God who would be willing to send someone so unworthy. Overwhelming gratitude to a church who is willing to listen to our journey.

It was a great day. Speaking boldly about God’s mission, God’s call, and the church’s response. The Man did great even though he asked me to speak also. I got the “church’s response” part. Really….me; so unworthy! But our God is worthy.

The first one is behind us….Will it get easier? Maybe, maybe not! We were greatly encouraged by the experience and the church.

Our wonderful host even provided us with a trip down the Hiawassee River. An afternoon on the river in the middle of God’s amazing creation….it was beautiful. Of course, I had to have pictures so we bought a disposal water proof camera, still sitting on the counter waiting to be development 🙂 Yep, that’s why I love my digital camera!

The next day was the first day of school so we started the 2013-2014 school year with a field trip. We stayed in Chattanooga and went to the Rock City and the Incline Railway….

Our prayer is that the 2014-2015 school year will start with a field trip somewhere in South Africa 🙂
